The House

A laboratory built around a 28-day cycle.

Selene Skin was founded on a single conviction: skin is a living, cyclical organ — and the most effective skincare is the kind that respects its rhythm. Every twenty-eight days, the basal layer of the epidermis renews itself. Most regimens ignore that. Ours is designed around it.

The founding

The house was started in 2024 by a small group of formulators, dermatological researchers, and a creative director who shared one frustration: that luxury skincare had become heavier in claim than in evidence. Bottles grew larger. Ingredient lists grew longer. Outcomes did not improve.

We took the opposite posture. Fewer products. Higher signal. Each formula designed to do one thing extraordinarily well — and to leave room for the next.

Our laboratory

Selene Skin formulates in small batches in South Florida, in partnership with a research group whose work in matrikine peptides and plant-derived exosomes has been published in peer-reviewed dermatological journals. Every active that enters a Selene Skin bottle is measured against three criteria: evidence at the cellular level, bio-availability through the stratum corneum, and stability across the life of the formula.

We are not in the business of more. We are in the business of measurable.

The ritual

One ritual, engineered to compound. Four essentials — cleanser, serum, SPF, and renewal cream — sequenced to dose the right molecule into the right phase of the cycle. Over two to three full cycles, they produce visibly denser, smoother, more resilient skin.

Why "Selene"

Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon — a name we chose for its association with cycles, not for any claim that the moon drives skin biology. The 28-day skin renewal cycle is real and measurable on its own. The moon is the metaphor. The cycle is the science. The work is the quiet, consistent business of cellular renewal.

Frequently asked

Answers, briefly.

What is Selene Skin?
Selene Skin is a regenerative skincare house built around a single ritual and four essentials — cleanser, serum, mineral SPF 40, and copper peptide renewal cream — engineered for skin longevity and paced to the 28-day epidermal renewal cycle.
Why is the ritual designed around 28 days?
The basal layer of the epidermis renews itself roughly every 28 days. Our formulas are sequenced to dose the right actives into the right phase of that cycle, so results compound over two to three complete cycles rather than fading between products.
Where is Selene Skin formulated?
Selene Skin is formulated in small batches in South Florida in partnership with a research group whose work in matrikine peptides and plant-derived exosomes has been published in peer-reviewed dermatological journals.
Does Selene Skin claim the moon affects skin?
No. Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon — a name chosen for its association with cycles. The 28-day skin renewal cycle is real and measurable on its own; the moon is the metaphor, the cycle is the science.
