Why the 28-Day Cycle Matters for Skin Renewal

Every 28 days, the basal layer of your epidermis produces a new cohort of keratinocytes. They migrate upward, flatten, lose their nuclei, and slough off. This is the cell turnover cycle — the biological clock Selene Skin is designed around.

In the first half of the cycle, basal proliferation accelerates. This is when the skin is most receptive to actives that signal regeneration — matrikine peptides, GHK-Cu, plant-derived exosomes.
